Looking for somewhere different to eat with amazing food? Look no further than Kru Malee, and eat at Khao Lak’s Beautiful River Restaurant. Let’s face it, Thailand is a lush hot country, therefore after a hard morning laying on the beach or visiting a waterfall you may need to cool off. What could be better than having your feet in crystal clear cool water whilst you eat some amazing food?
I found this restaurant on Google Maps and as it wasn’t far from our hotel I insisted Mr C scooter is there for lunch. He was a bit hesitant, however soon changed his tune when we arrived. The staff were instantly welcoming and we headed straight in. A tour bus had just pulled in and I knew there were only a few tables actually in the river. Mr C was on it, and was already taking his trainers off!
If sitting with your feet in a river is not for you they have a huge restaurant on stilts over looking the river instead.
Concerned this would be all about the location and the food may not be up to much we grabbed a menu. We did not need to be worried at all. The choice is plentiful without being overwhelming. More importantly it was exceedingly delicious! There may be other Khao Lak River Restaurants however take the time to seek Kru Malee out as it truly delivers.
You can also see where the restaurant grows it’s own herbs in their kitchen garden right next to thee kitchen. A superb find and a lovely change of scenery from the ‘too easy’ beach restaurants.
