Stunning Seavana Beach Resort on the Island of Koh-Mak

Seavanna Sign

This tiny island takes a little effort to get to however it is worth every single minute of travel. Being only 12km square in total is was the smallest island we had ever stayed on. We chose to stay at the stunning Seavana Beach Resort on the island of Koh-Mak. This resort not only has an amazing location but the quirky looking bungalows are to die for! Let me show you more.

Our Amazing Sea View Bunglalow

This is the bungalow we stayed in, yes we had the whole thing to ourselves! “Wow” was my response when I entered. It may not be completely high end in the style but the whole vibe is just magical, you cannot fail to fall in love with it. The upstairs balcony and the view it had was the main reason we chose this, however it offered so much more.

The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The welcome drinks were lush and ‘welcome’ after our little boat journey from Koh Kood.

Our room wasn’t quite ready so they suggested we take a kayak to the island opposite called Koh Kham. I had managed to get really bad sand fly bites from our previous island and one of the staff got my some excellent cream for no charge at all. You wouldn’t get that in the UK would you!

With a huge bed to relax on and a view to die for when you wake, this is the vibe I’m talking about. There was plenty of storage for our clothes, a downstairs shower room which led out to the patio where there was a lush private jacuzzi! We didn’t actually use this as there was no view (hence the privacy), and we spent most of our evenings on the balcony.

Because this view deserves to be looked at!

The balcony area far bigger than we thought, and an awful lot hotter hence the cold beers we enjoyed sipping whilst we looked out to sea. The island is so quiet that often an hour would pass and not a sole had walked by us. Beautiful!

Dotted around the Resort are hammocks to chill out in between various palm trees. This was my favourite one to watch the sun go down in.

Behind the resort runs a river full of fish, a wooden bridge spans it which takes you to a track where you can find the local store.

The Resort has a restaurant on it which we eat at a couple of times. We had never seen peppercorns like this before, only ever dried. Mr C can categorically state that they are extremely hot to eat! I dared, he eat! Reserve your amazing room now before someone else gets there first!

So now you know where to stay, what can you do whilst you are on Koh Mak? I have that covered for you too, from just relaxing to water activities, there is much to do!
