We are fortunate enough once again to be visiting Thailand for a month again in January, this time travelling around. The amazing sights of Koh Lanta are at the top of our list and the island is our first stop. Said to be really laid back and slightly hippy, this island should chill and charm us. From stunning secluded beaches to amazing places to snorkel, Koh Lanta looks like it has it all! Here is what I have on our agenda for our 4 nights on the island. I will repost updates as I tick these off my list, so subscribe to make sure you don't miss out!

How To Get To Koh Lanta
The easiest route is to fly in to Krabi airport and then either get in a shared mini bus or private transfer, whatever you favour. Shared will obviously be cheaper, so I guess it depends on your budget? We have asked our hotel to arrange our transfer as there is also a boat to navigate - Koh Lanta is an island after all. Normally I would sort this all out myself, however after 2 plane rides I will be super tired and will not need the stress. I have read that from door to door can be around 3 hours, dependant on boat times, traffic and how far down the island you are staying.
Where to Stay On Koh Lanta
With so many lush beaches to choose from it was tricky picking one over the other. We have opted for Long Beach which is roughly in the middle, and as the name suggests, long. We do like a midday walk along the beach with a beer at the destination, and with bars all long it, this could easily turn in to a pub crawl! Our hotel is Lanta Casa Blanca and looks really lovely. I will update after staying.
I digress... however, the further south you travel the quieter the beaches become, and with that less choice of bars and restaurant, but more peace. Pick the area to suit your needs, they all look fab.
