Have you ever wanted to get back to nature and sleep somewhere a little bit different? Why not stay in a beautiful treehouse in Khao Sok National Park? Be surrounded by limestone cliffs, thick lush jungle and ear the sound of the river running by. We stayed for one night at Our Jungle House which is situated at the edge of Khao Sok town, within 20 acres of private land. Located right at the entrance of Khao Sok National Park, this is the perfect location to begin exploring the area. Take advantage of the 2.4km of educational nature trails within the grounds or book other activities such as kayaking or tubing.

Our Treehouse Room
Our treehouse was called Sunshine and was situated right next to the river and the ‘beach’. The veranda had two deckchairs on it which were perfectly place for watching people kayak past.

Sunshine stands approximately 5 metres from the jungle floor and is joined to the next tree house by an elevated walkaway. Perfect if you are visiting here with friends. Hang out in the treetops together!

What I loved most about this was the simplicity, but with a few creature comforts. There may be no aircon, however there is a ceiling fan to cool you down a bit in the night. There is also a safe for your valuables should you need it. The mosquito net above the bed is essential, as let’s face it, we all know there are bugs in the jungle who want to bite you.

The bathroom was huge, and although there isn’t a luxurious rainfall shower, the power shower was absolutely perfect. I loved the fact it was open air with a little protection from monkeys coming in and stealing your stuff! Yes that is a fact, there are even little posters in the room about making sure you lock up and hide your precious possessions. Everything you could possibly need is here in order to stay in a beautiful treehouse In Khao Sok National Park.

The Treehouse’s Extra Facilities

Other facilities available within the lodge grounds are; a restaurant, a bar, a quite hangout area above reception and a little ‘beach’. Our lodgings came with dinner and breakfast included which were both very tasty. Khao Sok town itself is about a 15 walk back the way you arrived where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit if you are here for a few days.

Join in a night safari at the National Park which is literally on your doorstep. See monkeys, snakes, sleeping birds and all manner of insects in their natural habitat. Our Jungle House arranged our tour which was a very reasonable price (as everything in Thailand seems to be).

And Something Extra Which Is A Little Special…
You cannot come this far without venturing onwards to Cheow Lan Lake and sleeping in a Raft House. With no wifi or phone signal on the lake, get away from the world for one day and surround yourself with stunning scenery. Our Jungle House arranged this trip for us too, I cannot recommend this highly enough, it has given us memories forever!
